Waterfront design initiative takes shape
The "Your Bay, Your Say" waterfront plan is full of creative ideas for the shoreline and open space along West Grand Traverse Bay. Figuring out how to bring these ideas to reality is the next step. 

Project underway to deal with storm runoff
Every time you park your car or fertilize your lawn, you may be adding pollution to future storm water runoff. Summer interns Richard Manner and Annie Otwell investigate this concept and what is being done right now to prevent it.

Wildlink program expands territory
In this story, which aired on TV 7 & 4, summer interns Richard Manner and Annie Otwell explain how the Conservation Resource Alliance is expanding its efforts to bring wildlife corridors to Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse and Leelanau counties. It profiles Traverse City attorney Dan Hubbell, who owns a large spread of prime animal highway in Leelanau County.

Higher Grounds moving to Traverse City

Leelanau businessowners Chris and Jody Treter are busy working on the new location, which they hope will open by mid-August. Among changes they will make is to begin bike delivery of their coffee to their in-town clients.

Summer intern Annie Otwell talked to the Treters about this and why they decided to move to Grand Traverse Commons.
