Exciting things are happening at YourPlace.

Winning Picture Your Place Photo Contestants Awarded!

Last fall, we invited professional and amateur photographers to enter their best work in a new photo essay contest called Picture Your Place! This unique contest was part of grand celebration of the region's special places and the one year birthday of YourPlace Magazine. The selected photos and essays were exhibited at the Grand Traverse Heritage Center during the month of October.

Winning photographers and other happy partygoers attended an opening reception and awards ceremony at the Heritage Center on October 6, 2007.  It was a grand affair with great people, music, wine, food, awards and spectacular art!  Thank you to all who attended! 

Essay Contest Announced
