YourPlace's Image Policy

We require you to respect the privacy of the people and property that you photograph. In general, people in public places as well as anything that can be seen from a public place can be photographed without consent. However, we require that you have written permission from a parent to submit a photograph of a child under 13. We also require that you receive permission to submit photographs of people or things on private property. We have a sample Model Release Form for your personal use. The release form should not be submitted to YourPlace, but rather kept on file by you in case it may be needed.

By submitting an image to this site, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • You verify that you created the image and hold the legal right to post it on this website.
  • You retain the copyright for all images submitted to YourPlace. Permission to use the images comes from you.
  • You have received permission to submit an image of a child under 13 and/or to submit images of people and things on private property.
  • You agree to all the terms specified in the User Agreement, including our right to refuse to post any image for any reason and to withdraw any image for any reason.

Note: If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, or your intellectual property rights have been otherwise violated, please see section 16 of the User Agreement for instructions.
